Solitude Stables offers horseback riding lessons for children and adults, and guided, instructor-led trail rides through our wooded trails. Lessons run from beginner through advanced, and every ride is tailored to the individual rider.
For most first-time riders we recommend starting with a private riding lesson, which gives you one-on-one time with your instructor in our sand ring. If you would prefer a relaxed introduction without formal instruction, a guided trail ride is a lovely, low-pressure choice.
We keep things personal, so lessons are either private (one-on-one) or semi-private (shared with one other rider). We do not run large group lessons, because smaller numbers let us give every rider real attention and a calmer experience.
Yes. Guided trail rides are a wonderful family activity, and we can arrange lessons for siblings or parents and children. Just let us know who would like to ride when you book, and we will plan a visit that suits everyone.
